Here's the newest Held with his first look at NYC through the windows of St. Vincent's. I'm sure his gorgeous mom already showed him our old apartment on Waverly Place.

Patti says this photo pretty much sums it up - chaos management - and she hasn't even left the hosptial! If only I lived closer, I'd take them a lasagna every night...

Beach!

I got a beach umbrella at Costco that's 125 SPF! I was so excited about protecting the Fairest Of Them All from the Burning Rays Of The Sun, we played beneath it in the yard a couple of times.



Then, for Mother's Day, we went to the REAL beach! With even more SPFs, both in the form of sunscreen lotion and in the form of pants and hat somehow imbued with UVA/UVB protection. In this picture, Izzy has a sun protection factor of approximately 215. I figure that's like being in a dark basement, and therefore safe.



Other than not comprehending why we would bring him to a place where there was so much sand then not allow him to eat any (or much, at least), I think he had a pretty good time. Here's a brief video:

Cheerio

I went back to work yesterday, so Todd sent me pictures (and some nice flowers) to brighten my day today. This one is quite possibly my favorite photo of Izzy to date.

Quick update

We recently visited Todd's grandmother and Aunt Roz in Louisville, KY and Todd's family in West Chester, OH. Here is Izzy's first time in the dentist's chair, in safe hands with Grandma Bobbi.


Like father, like son with the HotWheels obsession. Nothing can be done about it. Izzy probably has 50 cars (a conservative estimate) in his collection already.


There's nothing better than a sweet afternoon snooze. I'll be thinking back to these peaceful moments often when I go back to work later this month.

What 99 cents can buy

I bought Isaiah a new bath toy today at Target. Who knew such a small investment could have such a huge payoff?



We picked Izzy as his nickname because in Hebrew it means "he will laugh". Izzy indeed, and he makes us laugh too.
